Video: Big rig drag racing exists
Now, I knew all about tractor pulling, I know about drag racing and I’ve seen truck racing. But did I know that a combination of all three existed? No, I did not. Until today that is.
Yes, Big Rig Drag Racing (which bit do we even capitalise?) is a thing and oh boy are we glad it is. Like the not-so beautiful child of truck racing, drag racing and tractor pulling it’s here and working its smokey way into our hearts.
Why tractor pulling you say? Well, because a significant portion of these trucks are pulling full loads as they attempt their quarter miles (or at least we assume a quarter mile).
Never has rubber been quite so tortured, never have chassis flexed quite so hard, and not in history has so much coal been proverbially rolled. Big Rig Drag Racing – we salute you.
